Honest one shot: The Night Before from Look Busy Distro

It’s that most wonderful time of the year again, no not back to school it’s seasonal flavour time!! I stopped in to my fav local shop recently where I was greeted with the warm and comforting taste of the holidays in the form of a new seasonal flavour they just released. The shop is The Vapor Bar and the flavour is The Night Before. Here are my honest thoughts on The Night Before from Look Busy Distro and The Vapor Bar.

Bottles: The juice comes in clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla bottles with either a red or a green label to go with the seasonal theme. It’s the same label just different colour. The labels have a cute knit sweater sort of look to them that definitely invokes a sense of the holidays. The juice comes in an 85vg blend and the bottle I got was in 3mg. Here’s a shot of the festive bottle I picked up!!

The Night Before

Setup: Testing was done mostly in a DAYWON from MissionXV with a little spaced fused clapton(2×30/40ni80), 6 wraps on a 2.5mm coming out to 0.97 ohms and running between 15-20w. Using Puff cotton, rda rinsed and rewicked in between. Here’s a shot of a fresh build:

The Night Before

Site description: Just in time for Saint Nick! The Night Before is a rich creamy spiced eggnog custard that will leave all of the other reindeer jealous!

My thoughts: One thing I definitely look forward to this time of year are the holiday treats like sugar cookies, plum pudding, gingerbread and of course eggnog. There’s something about those classic flavours that just embody the spirit of the season. Warm, rich, spicy treats help fend off the cold and lift our spirits during the cold dark winter days so what better way to celebrate them than taking some of those classic flavours and cramming them in to a limited edition flavour.

With The Night Before I get an incredible mix of thick creamy eggnog and a really nice punch of spice. The spice in it reminds me a bit of gingerbread as I get hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and perhaps some ginger. It tastes like that classic Christmas spice blend that instantly reminds us of the holidays. I’ve got to say though with that hit of spice it can come off a bit strong at times especially if you’re subohming with a powerful tank but in a laid back mouth to lung setup this is exactly the sort of seasonal treat I look forward to.

The eggnog custard end of it is pretty mild but it’s what gives it that thick creamy feel. It’s not super eggy nor do I get a strong vanilla from it but again I really found a difference depending on what sort of setup I was vaping it in. With mouth to lung I get more of the creamy custard taste, it comes off smoother and lighter but with a subohm setup I definitely get more of that spice. For me personally I preferred it in a mouth to lung setup as it really calmed down the almost overbearing spice I got when using a more powerful setup. While I would really like to say that the two main components are perfectly balanced it might actually come down to how you’re actually vaping it. Custard fans will probably want to mouth to lung while spice fans who enjoy a bit more throat hit will probably want to subohm it. Either way it’s an absolutely wonderful tribute to the holidays and well worth checking out!!

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying The Night Before, it’s pretty much exactly the sort of thing I gravitate to and considering the time of year it couldn’t be more welcome. There’s just something about a nice warm spicy dessert flavour that really warms the soul during these cold dark months. So huge thanks and happy holidays to Matt, Coco and the rest of the crew at Look Busy and The Vapor Bar, you guys are the best!!!
