Honest review time: Stay Classy from Great Canadian Fog

Here’s a look at a new set of flavours from the venerable Ken Ross of Great Canadian Fog. A company out of Ontario that’s been producing quality liquids since 2014 and just recently opened his own brick and mortar shop. This new set of three flavours comes with a slightly different twist. They’re meant to be based on a line of champagne inspired flavours but also pack a bit of chill to help cool things off. Here are my honest thoughts on Stay Classy from Great Canadian Fog.

Bottles/Packaging:

The juices comes in clear 60ml authentic Chubby Gorilla bottles. The labels are all pretty much the same but vary in colour depending on the flavour. They depict what looks like lights in a bokeh effect with the colour of the lights changing from bottle to bottle. They kind of invoke the feeling of a celebration which goes along with the champagne theme of the set. They also contain all the usual good information we like to see in fine print so no complaints there. I didn’t see the ratio listed on his site but I’d guess them to be around a 70vg blend with the set I got all in 3mg. Here’ a shot of the classy looking bottles I received:

Setup:

Testing was done mostly in a Hadaly clone with a three core alien(3×28/36ni80) build from the Canadian Coil makers SaddleHorse Blues, 4/5 wraps on a 2.5mm coming out to 0.28 ohms and running between 35-45w. Using Puff cotton, RDA rinsed and rewicked in between. Here’s a shot of a fresh build:

Stay Classy Blitzed

Site description: Everyone loves BlueRazz. Why not grab a bottle from the twisted minds of Great Canadian Fog. Twisted and slightly chilled champagne.

My thoughts: So not everyone loves Bluerazz and my feelings for it have been well documented, it’s a flavour profile that unfortunately I’m just not a fan of. Yes some are definitely better than others but as a basic flavour it’s not my cup of tea. With Blitzed I get a pretty typical shot of blue raspberry like I’ve tasted with so many others but it’s been fortified with a decent shot of coolness. It’s not a menthol sort of cool as there isn’t any mint to it but on the exhale especially you feel a nice cooling sensation that really lightens up the flavour. It’s fairly sweet and juicy with none of that dry powdery taste I often get from blue raspberry but I also don’t really pick up much of a champagne or bubbly feeling from it. It’s definitely blue raspberry and it’s definitely chilled but as a champagne it’s not exactly popping.

Stay Classy Vinifera

Site description:These grapes form the basis of the majority of wines from around the world. Now chilled and available to you in a champagne vape.

My thoughts: Much like blue raspberry flavours I’m not often a fan of basic grape flavours so when I read the description of Vinifera I wasn’t expecting much. I was mistaken. Vinifera is a lovely soft aromatic grape flavour that’s fairly sweet, almost candy-like with what tastes like a hint of pink bubblegum. It’s very light and smooth with a refreshing shot of cool on the finish that kicks it up a notch or two. It’s not quite as natural and fresh tasting as I’d like but it’s quite tasty nonetheless. The grape is mild, not overbearing and doesn’t make me think of medicine like so many others. It’s almost more of a soft grape juice that I get with it. Much like Blitzed I don’t really get the sensation of champagne from it but as it stands it’s quite pleasant and for a grape flavour I quite enjoyed it.

Stay Classy Haden

stay classy

Site description: The Haden mango has an amazing fragrance that perfumes the whole house deliciously. It is so sweet- it really out classes every other mango!

My thoughts: Haden is one of the most beautiful fragrant mango flavours I’ve tried yet. It’s thick and juicy but with a nice cool clean finish that lingers on the tongue. It has a natural spiciness to it, like I can almost feel the acidic bite of a fresh juicy mango. It’s rather sweet but in a natural fruity kind of way and not cloying at all. It’s a pretty simple flavour being primarily a fresh juicy mango but with that shot of cool which is a bit lighter than the other two it keeps it from feeling too thick and heavy. One of the freshest and most natural tasting mango flavours I’ve had the pleasure of trying. Again it’s the same thing with Haden, I don’t really pick up a sense of champagne from it just a fresh, sweet natural tasting mango.

Final thoughts:

Great Canadian Fog makes some fantastic juice and they’re produced by Dvine Labs so there’s absolutely no question about quality. While the blue raspberry flavour didn’t exactly move me I found the set in general to be fantastic. Ken however did manage to win me over on a grape flavour which is something to be said, not only that but Stay Classy Haden is quite possibly one of the juiciest most natural tasting mango flavours I’ve tried yet. No I didn’t really get a sense of champagne from these but much like soda pop themed liquids it’s hard to capture a complete experience in a vape. Without the fizz of carbonation or the kick of alcohol it’s just not going to taste the same. Regardless they still taste great and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you check them out!
