Honest one shot: Tree Of Life: Peach from The Vaporist

Ontario based juice manufacturer The Vaporist has been crafting quality e-liquids since 2014 and at the recent Canadian Vape Expo in Toronto they released a new flavor. I was actually there to help out at his booth and full disclosure am close friends with owner/operator Phil but that doesn’t mean I’ll go easy on him when it comes to a review of his products. If anything I tend to do the opposite holding him to the highest standard, which to be fair it’s what I do with any vendor. The newest release is a new addition to an existing line, the Tree of Life line. Tree of Life if you’re not familiar with it is a lineup of fruit based flavours each with a slightly different focus. The original Tree of Life: Apricot has been his best seller since its release so trust me when I say I had big expectations. Here are my honest thoughts on Tree of Life: Peach from The Vaporist.

Bottles:

The juice comes in clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla style bottles with a rather classy looking label featuring a silhouette of a tree teaming with life, the name of the flavor directly underneath and The Vaporists iconic monocle bearing logo at the top. It’s got all of the appropriate regulation stuff like batch number and ingredients along the bottom and sides and even includes a QR code bottom right that links you directly to the product online. It comes in a 70vg blend and the bottle I got was in 3mg. Here’s a shot of the new bottle:

Setup:

Testing was done mostly in a Hadaly clone with a three core alien(3×28/36ni80) build from the Canadian Coil makers SaddleHorse Blues, 4/5 wraps on a 2.5mm coming out to 0.28 ohms and running between 35-45w. Using Puff cotton, rda rinsed and rewicked in between. Here’s a shot of a fresh build:

Tree of Life: Peach

As soon as I crack the bottle I’m greeted with the bright fragrant smell of peach, but it’s not alone. Much like TOL: Apricot and Pomegranate that came before it TOL: Peach has a focus on peach but it’s not the only component of the flavour. Instead it’s presented with a medley of other fruity flavours with peach just being the center of attention. It’s not that it’s held up by the other flavours it’s more like it’s highlighted among them. He never really tells exactly what’s in the medley but I’ve got a pretty good idea after spending some time with him and his juice. It’s filled with subtle notes of berries like sweet strawberry and something a touch more tropical, possibly a hint of creamy Dragon fruit or something like that familiar but obscure. The other notes really help fill out the flavour, giving it a much broader fruity tone and not just another peach flavour but it’s also a familiar tone if you’ve ever tried the Tree of Life line before.

That peach however doesn’t shy away, it’s a bright juicy sweet peach flavour with a hint of tang to it. I don’t get any of that candy-like fuzzy peach flavour either that most of us are used to, just a refreshing hit of that natural summertime favorite treat. If I’m not mistaken it might even have a hint of apricot in it adding just a bit more of an orangey stone fruit feel to it. Whatever it is it stays true to the Tree of Life line and makes for a nice refreshing change from the existing lineup. Definitely a perfect pairing for the warm summer days ahead I’d say TOL: Peach is a welcome addition to the line!!

Overall:

I’ve long been a fan and a friend of The Vaporists and have been vaping his juice since early 2015. He makes some truly incredible flavours with a real mastery for fruits and fruity blends and I always recommend him to anyone looking for just such. If you enjoy fruity flavours he’s definitely one to check out and any existing fans of TOL: Apricot or Pomegranate if you haven’t tried Peach yet I’d highly recommend you do. So huge thanks to Phil and crew for setting me up with some to review!!
