Honest one shot: Volume: Hi- Fidelity from LookBusy Distro

Whenever I get the chance I make sure to stop by my favorite local b&m TheVaporBar. It’s run by a couple of the most wonderful people in the industry who always welcome me to the shop with a warm smile. Not only do they run a couple of successful vape shops but they also have their own juice lines and distribution business called LookBusy Distro.

Distro steadily been growing their inventory and I’ve been a big fan of nearly all of their releases. On a recent visit I discovered they’d launched a few new things so of course I had to check them out. Here are my honest thoughts on Hi-Fidelity the first flavour to drop in a new line called Volume.

Bottles/Packaging:

Matt the gentleman behind LookBusy Distro has a real eye for style, I’m pretty sure he has a background in design because everything he produces looks absolutely top-notch with Hi-fidelity being no exception. The juice comes in a clear authentic Chubby Gorilla bottle with one of the coolest retro inspired logos I’ve seen yet. Just looking at it makes you think 70’s disco era badassness.

I will mention with the name being a bit obscure and the flavour not listed on the bottle you could eventually forget what’s in it but that’s hardly a complaint at this point with only the one flavour in the line. The juice comes in an 85vg freebase blend or a 60vg salt nic blend with the two bottles I got coming in 3mg and 24mg respectively.

Setup:

For the salt version testing was done in a Berserker MTL RDA with a simple 30g kanthal build, about 6/7 wraps on a 2.5mm coming out to about 1.8ohms and running between 10-15w. I also tested it in a fresh 1ohm Orion Q pod.

For the freebase version testing was done mostly in a Hadaly clone with a three core alien(3×28/36ni80) build from the Canadian Coil makers SaddleHorse Blues, 4/5 wraps on a 2.5mm coming out to 0.28 ohms and running between 35-45w. Using Puff cotton, rda rinsed and rewicked in between. Click here for a shot of the build.

Hi-Fidelity from LookBusy Distro:

Site description: Hi-Fidelity is a fresh baked cream filled cupcake layered with rich vanilla icing.

My thoughts: Let me start by saying I just happened to be looking for a flavour exactly like this so it was a real serendipitous surprise when I read the description of it and first cracked the bottle open. Whether it’s a birthday, celebration or just an occasion pretty much everybody out there loves cake, myself included. With Hi-Fidelity I get a lovely mix of soft white cake, rich cream and sweet vanilla frosting and boy is it a treat.

The white cake is the most predominant note in the mix and it tastes just like every ten year olds favorite birthday party treat. It’s a familiar taste that tends to evoke fond memories that nearly anyone can relate to. Think basic white cake of even Funfetti cake and you’ll get an idea of what this tastes like.

It’s a soft flavour and despite being cake and icing it’s not overly sweet or cloying. The cream is fairly delicate and doesn’t bog the flavour down with a heavy creamy feeling but definitely adds to the body and fullness of the flavour. The vanilla icing is what really finishes it off giving it that slightly sweeter classic vanilla icing taste. Again though, it’s not a heavy flavour, it stays light, almost delicate just like a white cake flavour should. For me this is ideal all day vape material and I know a few people already that will be eager to try this one out!!

Final thoughts:

Never one to disappoint LookBusy from Distro newest flavour Hi-Fidelity from their brand new line Volume instantly became a new favorite of mine. Any fans of creamy cake type flavours will definitely want to check this treat out. It’s reasonably priced and available both online and in stores so if you have the chance I’d highly recommend picking some up!!
