Honest one shot: Yag Bomb from Snoogy

Here’s a look at a new flavour yag bomb recently dropped by Snoogy. They’re a company out of Quebec that’s been creating some really interesting flavours for quite some time now. Though it’s likely not common knowledge their liquids have been produced and distributed by Quebec Vape labs for the past few years which is where this latest flavour actually comes from. This release is truly one of a kind and brings back endless memories of my yesteryears some good and some bad. Here are my honest thoughts on Yag Bomb by Snoogy care of Quebec Vape labs.

Bottles/Packaging:

The juice comes in a clear authentic Chubby Gorilla style bottle. The label depicts an exploding bottle with the name Yäg bomb written underneath. It has a sort of playful tone to it as many Snoogy flavours tend to have. It’s a pretty eye catching design and I think for what it is it’s well represented. The juice comes in an 81%vg blend and the bottle I got was in 3mg standard nic.

Setup:

Testing was done mostly in a Hadaly clone with a three core alien(3×28/36ni80) build from the Canadian Coil makers SaddleHorse Blues, 4/5 wraps on a 2.5mm coming out to 0.28 ohms and running between 35-45w. Using Puff cotton, rda rinsed and rewicked in between. Click here for a shot of the build.

Yag bomb :

Site description: The Yäg Bomb (Jager Bomb) is a bomb shot mixed drink that was originally mixed by dropping a shot of Jagermeister into a glass of energy drink.

My thoughts: The flavour is based on a pretty iconic party time favorite, at least with the younger crowd, called a Jager Bomb. It’s essentially a shot of Jagermeister dropped in to a glass filled with an energy drink which is more often than not Red Bull. It’s basically a mix of two really strong flavours that generally tend to be pretty divisive when it comes to folks who actually enjoy them. You either love em or hate em.

Jagermeister if you’ve never tried it is a digestif with a strength of 35% alcohol by volume comprised of 56 different herbs and spices with licorice and anise probably being the most notable. It’s a strong taste to say the least that tends to linger on the palate. Red Bull on the other hand, an energy drink, tastes like liquid candy with a hint of medicine. It too has it’s fans but it’s not something I ever find myself reaching for. To be completely honest I wasn’t really expecting to enjoy this one since I’ve had more than my share of Jager over the years and probably wouldn’t be too upset if I never had it again. In fact I once found a bar in Mississippi that had ice cold Jager on tap and spent way too much time getting acquainted with the locals that day.

Yäg Bomb I gotta say though actually took me by surprise as I was expecting a smack in the face mix of artificial tasting energy drink and the often overpowering herbaceous taste of Jager but what I got was considerably milder than I expected. With Yäg Bomb I get a fairly soft tasting almost powdery candy taste that reminds me a lot of those Tart-n-Tiny candies but also reminds me of the saccharin sweet taste of an energy drink. It’s a sweet flavour but not cloyingly sweet. Nestled in the candy is the taste of licorice or anise but it too is fairly mild and comes on gently not punch you in the mouth strong like the real thing. There’s no alcoholic kick to it either just a gentle representation of the real thing. No you don’t taste all 56 herbs and spices of the Jagermeister but the essence of it is most definitely there.

Final thoughts:

Even though I’ll probably never actually order a real Jager Bomb I’ve got to say I was genuinely surprised with this Yag Bomb. It definitely gets points for uniqueness and while it’s still not a flavour that’s going to make it in to my regular rotation it’s going to be the one I recommend for anyone who asking about an energy drink flavour. Huge props to Snoogy for attempting something so different and nailing it to the wall!!!
