Honest review time: Ultimate 100 by VapeEvasion

Here’s a set I received from the good folks at VapeNorth/VapeEvasion called Ultimate 100. Vape Ultimate as been around for a little while now but recently added two new flavours to the list. Jason the gentleman behind VapeNorth an Ontario distributor was kind enough to set me up with the whole line to review and I’ve got to say I was not disappointed. Here are my honest thoughts on Ultimate 100 by VapeEvasion.

Bottles:

The juices come in 100ml Chubby Gorilla style bottles with metallic printed labels. Each ones bears an image of the flavour inside with Ultimate 100 scrawled across the top. They’ve got all the usual good stuff we like to see in fine print and looks like they’re already compliant with new regs but I believe they’re about to get some new labels anyway. Even though the names are pretty self-explanatory it’s nice that they add the description of the flavour on the bottle. The juices are all 70vg blends and the set I got was in 3mg. One minor complaint is the bottles are really hard to squeeze so filling up a big tank can be like a trial of endurance.

Ultimate 100

Setup:

Testing was done mostly in a Hadaly clone with a three core alien(3×28/36ni80) build from the Canadian Coil makers SaddleHorse Blues, 4/5 wraps on a 2.5mm coming out to 0.28 ohms and running between 35-45w. Using Puff cotton, rda rinsed and rewicked in between. Here’s a shot of a fresh build:

Remember taste is subjective and results will vary!

Ultimate 100 Lemon Triffle

Site Description: Lemons, pound cake and creams.

My thoughts: I love a good lemon flavour and have found all kinds of good ones through my reviews. Lemon Triffle is a happy new addition to my list with it’s bright tart lemon flavour and underlying cream. I find the pound cake aspect in it to be somewhat subdued giving the whole thing almost more of a lemon curd with cream sort of taste. Like with many lemon flavours it can have a very slight bite to it but speaking as a fan I’ve never really been bothered by it myself. It’s bright and tangy but also has a nice sweetness to it. Not super sweet or sugary but it manages to strike a nice balance between sweet and tart. Definitely a really nice upbeat flavour and one that fans of lemon will want to check out!!

Ultimate 100 Jelly Dough

Site Description: A glazed strawberry jam filled doughnut.

My thoughts: With Jelly Dough I get a very rich, almost strong doughnut taste. To me it’s almost more of a fritter kind of flavour followed by an equally strong jelly/jam sort of taste, rather thick and sweet. It’s a very familiar sweet strawberry jam taste that I’ve experienced before but can’t quite place where. I found the two leading flavours sort of flip flop with one flavour often leading the other. I was sort of expecting a powdered jelly doughnut sort of thing but found I almost get more of a funnel cake or elephant ear with jam then I do an actual doughnut. I suppose they’re nearly the same but that fried taste is a bit more prominent then I’d expect which is why I lean towards something deep fried like funnel cake. It’s a fairly strong flavour and a bit too much for an ADV for me but it’s still a nice rich dessert kind of flavour that would be great as a treat.

Ultimate 100 Caramel Pecan

Site Description: Candied pecans dipped in a caramel glaze.

My thoughts: This one was one of the three standouts in the line for me. It’s absolutely amazing and exactly the sort of things I gravitate to. It’s a rich creamy mix of sweet creamy caramel and toasted buttery pecans. It’s a rather simple flavour but it hits all the spots for me. The caramel is thick and rich and balances really nicely with the taste of candied pecans giving it a creamy buttery backdrop with the taste of pecans just occasionally poking through. Super thick and creamy this one is a decadent treat that any fan of creamy nutty flavours will appreciate. It reminds me a lot of the little bit of gooey filling that accompanies a butter tart, thick sweet and delicious. As rich as this one is, I don’t have any trouble keeping up with it for the day. On top of all that it goes incredibly well with my morning coffee!!!

Ultimate 100 Blue Blood(New)

Site Description: A delicious blue raspberry slushy. Thirst? Vape a slushy!

My thoughts: I think most of you know I’m pretty tired of blue raspberry flavours at this point, it seems every company out there just has to have one. Definitely not a profile I gravitate to but I still like to give everything a fair chance. Blue Blood like so many others out there is a blue raspberry slushy that has that distinct artificial blue raspberry flavour that  so many are a fan of. I personally have had my share of it and could easily live without another one but Blue Blood I’ll admit isn’t half bad. It’s bright and sweet with a slight candy kind of vibe but I don’t really pick up much beyond that. I don’t get any harsh chemical tastes from it, just sweet melted blue freezie. I’m sure fans of blue raspberry will appreciate this one it’s just not something for me.

Ultimate 100 Dunked(New)

Site Description: Graham cracker biscuits dunked in vanilla frosting and rainbow sprinkles. Hungry? Vape Dunked!

My thoughts: At first I almost brushed this one off as a simple sweet vanilla icing sort of flavour but the more time I spent with it the more I fell in love. To me it reminds me of dunking graham cracker cookies in a sweet creamy vanilla icing. Like a childhood treat that came in little blister packs. I don’t really pick up on the rainbow sprinkles that the description mentions but it’s not like they’re missed. This one too is a fairly simple mix but one that seems to hit all the spots for me. Yes it is a bit on the sweet side so it’s a bit more of a guilty pleasure sort of vape but I haven’t had any issues vaping on it all day long. The graham of the cookie is fairly mild and doesn’t have any bite like some graham flavours I’ve had do, it’s more just a mild note of cookie to go with the thick creamy icing. Fans of sweet creamy flavours will adore this one with it’s sweet nostalgic lunchtime treat taste.

Overall:

I’ve got to hand it to Ultimate 100, 3 out of the 5 easily made it in to my regular rotation and the other two were as good just not to my tastes. The quality of the juice is fantastic and at $34.99 for 100ml I think the price is more then fair. Fans of dessert type flavours will really appreciate this lineup and I’d have absolutely no trouble recommending them to anyone. So huge thanks to Jason and the team for setting me up with these gems and for opening my eyes up to the Ultimate 100!!
